“Livin’ Thing” is a song written by Jeff Lynne and performed by Electric Light Orchestra (ELO). It appears on ELO’s 1976 album A New World Record. Patti Quatro sang uncredited vocals, particularly the “higher and higher” parts.

ELO’s music embarked into the USA during the late 1960s thru the early 1970s, which was at the tail end of Beatlemania’s broad horizon. ELO brought in their unique, symphonic Rock sound, and today music lovers everywhere include ELO as an iconic part of the 1960s British music invasion,

    1. Hi Defoe. I agree, Jeff Lynn’s works were ingenious. Although Jeff was part of the Beatles’ Anthology reunion, Jeff Lynn has also collaborated with former Beatle Harrison, Orbison who is an AOC favorite and many other Rock biggies. What a show of mutual respect. Right now I am enjoying a great cup of multi mocha hazelnut Joe! So good!
