Lana Del Rey | Queen of Disaster

Since the beginning of her career in 2005, American singer and songwriter Lana Del Rey has recorded countless demos and even finalized studio recordings under a series of monikers including Lizzy Grant, Sparkle Jump Rope Queen, May Jailer, and with her former band, The Phenomena.

She has also repurposed some of her songs for film soundtracks, including “Elvis” for The King(2018), “Life is Beautiful” for The Age of Adaline, and “I Can Fly” for Big Eyes, while her only song to be re-recorded was “Ghetto Baby” by Cheryl Cole. Wiki

“Queen of Disaster” is one of many unreleased songs from American singer and songwriter Lana Del Rey. Believed to be recorded sometime in 2011, the song was leaked online in May 2013 by New York producer Princess Superstar.

The song has never been released, and yet remains a solid fan favourite. It is one of Del Rey’s most upbeat tracks, borrowing from Motown and more 60’s inspired sounds. The song is about a disastrous yet incredible relationship that Lana Del Rey is in. Many fans have attempted to try and figure out why the track was never released, despite it having more than 18 million views on YouTube, as well as fans on Reddit claiming to have heard the song in H&M stores.

The track is also only available via YouTube through unofficial uploads of the track, as well as Soundcloud. Fans have speculated that Del Rey chose not the officially release the track due to her indecisiveness and perhaps not wanting to drastically changing her sound. storyofsong.com
