“STUMBLING IN” Suzy Quatro and Chris Norman

‘Stumblin In’ was Norman’s first single as a solo artist. The record peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1979. The song was Quatro’s only U.S. top 40 hit and Norman’s lone U.S. charting effort apart from his time with the band Smokie (where they charted three times while Norman was still a member).

In the UK, where the song was also Norman’s only chart hit as a solo artist, the disc hit the listing on 11 November 1978 and peaked at number 41 with eight weeks on the chart. It reached No. 11 on the Canada RPM Chart, but went to No. 1 on the Canada Adult Contemporary Chart. Wiki

    1. Thank you for your comment! What a song memory! “Stumbling in” reminds me of arriving at a party late. Trying to make the weekend party rounds can be a drag for many. I love to party to this day. 💗 Have a great week Dorothy!

        1. You’re good. I am a sibling of a huge party family. Before the big parties in the weekend, the daily meetups would be in our family kitchen. There would be cooking and talk. A radio in the kitchen window. There was talk and demos of the latest dance fads. Neighborhoods from all around wanted to members of our family. ❤️❤️🎶🍮🍮

          1. Ah! Such wonderful times and memories! It is wonderful to have your house the hub, where everyone wanted to be. My parents created such a place as well, and my cousins wanted to live with us, often did for the summers!

          2. Oh I am envisioning the love! And to think, I wanted to grow up and be an adult. 🤔🎶💞

  1. Thank you AOC.. I owned a couple Suzi Quatro albums back in the day.-She had A TON of energy… I remember describing her to my kids as “Elvis Presley, Janis Joplin style’… 2 artists they were familiar with as they had never heard of Suzi Quatro… Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
