I also liked the song at the time but it now impresses me as one of the dumbest pop songs ever.
Back in time I thought it was one of the dumbest pop songs ever. Because it was weird Paul and Paula (like twins) singing to each other. Now I see it as a beautiful teen-love song with no problem of Paul loving Paula or Tony loving Tonia…Stephen and Stephanie.
This is nostalgia for me. I loved that song but when I listen to it now the lyrics seems a little bit banal
